G&M has a well-defined college cooperative education program. For over a decade, G&M has worked with the co-op programs and students from many of the country’s highest level of academic communities, including Texas A&M University, the University of Texas, Purdue University, Michigan State University, the University of Iowa, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Cincinnati and the University of Texas at Arlington. G&M is looking for civil engineering students that have a superior work ethic, a great attitude, and the willingness to work for a unique company. G&M maintains a full-time staff of 20 to 25 engineers and surveyors. Due to the size of the company, co-op students are provided with the opportunity to work closely with the P.E. and E.I.T. staff members. Therefore, each co-op student is integral to the design process of real projects.
The secondary purpose of the co-op program is to establish long-term relationships with the highest caliber of engineering student. Several full-time members of our staff began their careers as co-op students. Since G&M implemented the co-op program, over 35 college students have gained invaluable “real world” experience that they have utilized to begin successful careers.
